Amanda Carey teaches beginning, intermediate, and advanced Spanish grammar and conversation classes. She also created and currently teaches online Spanish courses for WashU Continuing & Professional Studies.
Since joining the WashU in 2002, she has taught beginning, intermediate, and advanced Spanish classes in addition to linguistics classes. She created and currently teaches online Spanish courses for WashU Continuing & Professional Studies (formerly University College), where she supported faculty as an online learning specialist. Within the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, she has served as the Course Coordinator of Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced levels of the Spanish curriculum. A former chair of the Arts and Sciences Curriculum Committee and a former member of the Undergraduate Education Advisory Committee, she currently serves as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Studies for Spanish. As the Dean’s Fellow for Educational Initiatives, she supports the Arts and Sciences Summer Online Pilot and assists the Workday implementation team.
