Academic Pay and Calendar Information
- The University’s formal payroll period for the nine-month term begins September 1 and ends May 31, but new faculty members’ services may be required prior to the beginning of the payroll period and may conclude prior to the end of the payroll period. The first day of classes in the fall semester of 2024 is scheduled for August 26, 2024. (The first day of classes in the spring semester is scheduled for January 13, 2025.)
- The first day of classes in the fall semester of 2025 is scheduled for August 25, 2025. (The first day of classes in the spring semester is scheduled for January 12, 2026.)
- New faculty may elect to receive their nine-month salary distributed over the 12-month fiscal year and request to begin their employment between July 1 and the start of their duties as their schedule allows.
