Introduction to Team Based Learning (TBL)

Are you thinking about ‘flipping’ your class, but wondering how to get started? Are you interested in incorporating more structure team learning into your teaching? Team-Based Learning (TBL) is a collaborative learning approach where students prepare to engage with course content before class and then spend class time working through application-based problems in teams. In this workshop, faculty participants will learn about the benefits of using the core TBL structure, while experiencing what it is like to be a student in a TBL classroom. Participants will also have the opportunity to brainstorm ways to incorporate the tenets of TBL into their own teaching.
