A&S Teaching Grants Informational Drop-In Session
The College of Arts & Sciences is pleased to announce two upcoming teaching grant opportunities.
Proposals for the Ampersand Program Development Grant and the A&S Summer Online Teaching Innovation Grants will be accepted starting Monday, August 24 and are due by Friday, October 2. Faculty are invited to learn more about both of these teaching grant opportunities, ask questions, brainstorm ideas, or seek support by attending this drop-in information session.
About the Ampersand Program Development Grant: A&S aims to expand the slate of Ampersand Program offerings for the 2027-2028 academic year in order to augment the portfolio of high-impact programs for first-year students and better meet increasing demand for such opportunities. The Ampersand Program Development Grant provides support to A&S faculty for the development of new Ampersand Programs, specifically for the planning and design of their experiential learning components. About the A&S Summer Online Teaching Innovation Grant: Arts & Sciences Summer Online Teaching Innovation Grants are intentionally framed to support pedagogically innovative and student-centered online teaching and learning in the context of the A&S Summer Session. The pilot program aims to give students access to five to seven additional high-quality online courses during the Summer 2027 term. In addition to compensation for teaching the Summer Session course, chosen faculty will receive grants of up to $2,500 for developing the online course and participating in official pilot workshops and preparation activities.
