Carolyn Fernandez

Carolyn Fernandez joined the Grants Administration Integrated Network (GAIN) from the School of Medicine in August 2022, providing research administration support to the Department of Physics. Within the grant lifecycle, she handles both pre- and post-award duties while assembling budgets, reviewing required documents, and corresponding with external institutions and institutional offices OSRS and SPA. While ensuring timely submissions to grant sponsors, Carolyn also oversees post-award duties such as no cost extensions, budget amendments, grant closeout, and program award reporting. She currently serves as committee co-chair for the Danforth Research Administration Committee and is a member of the Region IV National Council of University Research Administrators.
