Carolyn Herman

Associate Dean of Advising, College of Arts & Sciences
PreHealth Advisor
Carolyn Herman

As associate dean and director of the pre-health program, Carolyn works together with her fantastic team of colleagues to ensure that all pre-health students have the resources and support to achieve their goals.

She also advises and teaches in the WashU Prison Education Program, teaches chemistry in the First-Year Summer Academic Program, and is the faculty advisor for the Minority Association of Premedical Students. She is a faculty associate for Wheeler and enjoys this chance to connect with students informally.

She lives near North County where she and her husband, Rick Gregory—the former WashU Peace Corps recruiter—raised two daughters.  Off campus, she enjoys camping and hiking, local music, and as much travel as she and Rick can find the time and money for.
